MORE ABOUT THIS CAMERA:  The µ[mju:]-ii Zoom 80 (AKA Stylus Epic Zoom 80) was released by Olympus in 1999 and represented a continuation in improvements to the company's high end range of compact zoom cameras. On this model the maximum shutter speed had been increased to 1/600 sec (up from 1/500 on similar previous zoom models), an 'infinity focus mode' was added, and a 'backlight control' option (which allows the user to increase the exposure by +1.5 EV in backlit situations) became another new addition.
