MORE ABOUT THIS CAMERA: Released in 2002, the Trip AF 51 is one of the more modern models in Olympus's popular Trip range. The metallic finished body was a sleeker design upgrade on the older models such as the Trip AF 30 and it had an autofocus lens and red-eye reduction on the flash, features that a number of the previous models didn't have. It was released at the same time as the Trip AF 50, but had a couple of subtle differences that pitched it at a slightly higher price bracket, whilst still being considered entry-level. These differences included the addition of a self-timer, automatic rewind, and a variable shutter speed (1/140 - 1/40 sec) which enables better exposure outcomes in a greater range of lighting conditions.
